Dr. Albert Roig and Dr. Alfonso Tolentino.
In February 2021, I first met Dr. Alfonso Tolentino who I was told was very knowledgeable on EKGs, to discuss my website EKGDX. Within a few minutes of analyzing the content of my project, he immediately agreed with me that it is an excellent tool for learning and teaching how to interpret an electrocardiogram and to prepare the physicians in training on how to improve their score in the American Board of Internal Medicine Certifying Examination in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Thus, the concept of Volume II was born. I want to acknowledge that it has been an enormous privilege for me to work with Dr. Tolentino in the development of the Volume II.
Ever since I was a medical student in Cuba, it has been my dream to contribute on learning electrocardiogram interpretations. On that note, I would like to quote Eleanor Roosevelt when she said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”.
